Guinea Pigs.

Small and solid furry fluffy things,
They smile and squeak and try to sing.
Their hearts are full of love and joy
They're sometimes loud,
They're sometimes coy.
If you cuddle one everyday
All your blues will melt away.
The ones who pass from our lives
We remeber with tear filled eyes
But also with grateful thanks.
That such an amazing little soul
Let us be the one to fill his food bowl.
If you want less stress and to have fun
I reccomend a Guinea Pig for everyone!

                                   Precious Piggies

If Guinea Pigs were jewels, they'd be of the rare and precious kind,
The sort of gems of various hues, not very often mined.
If Guinea Pigs were flowers, of course they would be blooms,
Of Orchids bright in colour, to brighten up the gloom.
If they controlled the weather, only sunny days there'd be,
For them to run and frolic and share with you and me.
If Guinea Pigs were little stars they'd sparkle bright and clear,
To let you know,no matter what that they are always near.
Our Guinea Pigs are all these things, but more important still,
They're little bundles stuffed with love, for us to have our fill.

Friend for Life.

I'm not a cosy pussy cat, nor hamster in a cage,
Nor a proud Alsation dog, for that is far too big.
I'm a kind of snuggle bug, loved by kids of any age,
A cutie cobbed shaped cavy kind, they call a Guinea Pig.

Try me and I think you'll find I'm rather nice
I can charm and I can calm and make of you, a friend
But be warned that I'm forever, not for once or twice,
For you will fall, they always do, and love me in the end.

If It Should Be.

If it should be that I grow weak
and pain should keep me from my sleep.
Then you must do what must be done,
for this battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand,
for this day more than the rest,
your love for me will stand the test.

We had so many happy years,
What is to come should hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so,
the time has come to let me go.

Take me where my need they'll tend
please stay with me until the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me
until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time that you will see
the kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail it's last has waved,
from pain and suffering I've been saved.

Don't be sad it must be you
who has this painful thing to do.

We've been so close we two these years,
don't let your heart hold back the tears.

Guinea pigs, friends to rich and poor

Guinea pigs are special creatures

Because they fell from heaven,

To spread the joy across the land

With their infectious sound called wheeking

The cry brought people from miles around

Just to here their song,

The only price for this melody

Is that food must be brought

The search was on, to find the food

That filled their hearts desire,

But the people could find nothing more

Than green blades of vegetation

The people sighed nervously

As they laid down their find,

They feared their food would not impress

The greedy guinea pigs stomach

But, to their surprise

The guinea pigs loved the simple dish,

And soon a whole field was bare

As they ate, ate, ate and ate

A guinea pig will always eat

The food that you buy for them,

But there little heart skips a beat

When a special food is mentioned

So whether you are rich or poor

You will still be able to afford,

A guinea pigs favourite food because

It happens to be grass!
